This is a quick heads-up to let you know that on March, 4th we will organise the first “Foursquare Check-in Night” by tweetzerland!
It will happen in Geneva and the concept is quite simple: meet us in the bar we will select, check-in on Foursquare, have a few drinks and let see where the night takes us!
Every time you will check-in somewhere during this evening, we will ask you to share it on Twitter as well, and add a #tweetzerland hashtag (in order to do so you just need to add a shout to your check-in).
We think it’s going to be quite fun, since more and more people are using Foursquare in Suisse Romande!
This first “Foursquare Check-in Night” will be held in Geneva, but we can imagine that if people in Lausanne, Fribourg, Vevey, or anywhere else in Switzerland want to join “virtually” around the #tweetzerland it could be really HUGE!

Our Mashup event with SwissW2 and Blog°bar on Thursday was a real success!
The event took place at netinfluence’s offices (thanks Sandrine!) in Lausanne and gathered around 25 web addicts from Fribourg, Lausanne, Geneva and around.
The homey atmosphere, and the red wine made everybody really comfortable and passionate discussions took off in every corner.
We will continue to organize laid-back events like this one in collaboration with our friends from SwissW2 and Blog°bar in the future! Feel free to share your ideas with us and in the meanwhile enjoy our pics from the event!

tweetzerland#3 was a great evening! We were a small gang of 9 tweeple, which allowed some good interactions and passionate discussions!
At 6.30pm, @philgalland, @smooseo, @livingdancing and @UNjobs were ordering the first round of drinks, soon joined by @nicofermont and @loulapo79.
@UNjobs started to tell us the story behind his website unjobs.org. When looking for a job a few years ago, he realized there was no “place” gathering all the job openings from the various international organizations. He decided to build a website that would do just that, and use twitter to push the information to his followers. unjobs.org is a big success and reaches impressive figures in terms of stats. From there the discussion went on to the usage everybody around the table makes of twitter and the mass of information that is served and not easily digested. Should we try to follow as many users as we can, or on the contrary be more exclusive and identify – with time – the users who’s opinion and tweets really bring value to us? BIG QUESTION.
@livingdancing also pointed out the differences between the usage he makes of facebook vs. twitter. At this point @vinceslas and @viabasket arrived to join the conversation, closely followed by @izabelllle who came all the way from Lausanne!

After a break and a couple of reschedules, we are stoked to announce that the next tweetzerland meeting will take place on November, 10th in Fenomeno from 6.30pm.

We’ve received a dozen of branded tweetzerland candy tins from a new website clic-clac.com (http://www.clic-clac.com)
As they have taken the time to customize the tins with our logo and link to our twitter they totally deserve a small post on our website

tweetzerland#2 took place last thursday! With most of you on summer holidays, we didn’t expect heaps of people but still ended up being 7 happy tweetz to zip some drinks.
We were joined by some “regulars” like @loulapo79, @yanngraf, and @vinceslas, and a new tweetzerland friend @podmiel.
@podmiel came equipped with his mac and a camera, and we had some good chats about – guess what? – twitter, facebook, the recent acquisition of friendfeed, using third party applications like tweetdeck, seesmic desktop, or iphone apps like tweetie etc…
